Top chef Jenny Bristow helped to ‘Spread the Love’ with the Northern Ireland butter brand, Golden Cow, to support the Northern Ireland Homes from Home Appeal.
‘Spread the Love’ is a new campaign from Golden Cow that taps into our nation’s love of butter whether it be dripping on a slice of toast, melting over some baby boiled potatoes or baked to make some delicious cakes and buns.
Launched just in time for the Balmoral Show, an annual farming and agricultural show, Jenny Bristow teamed up with Golden Cow to spread the love in support of the CLIC Sargent Homes from Home appeal.
Proceeds from the sales of Golden Cow products throughout the three day event went towards helping to fund two Homes from Home at locations within walking distance of the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and the Belfast City and Northern Ireland Cancer Centre, where young people with cancer are treated.
Visitors to the Golden Cow stand at the Balmoral Show were also invited to sample the butter with breads and also had the chance to enjoy a cookery demonstration by Jenny Bristow where she prepared new potatoes in a variety of ways and shared her kitchen hints and tips.
Jenny said: "I’m delighted to team up with Golden Cow at the Balmoral show supporting the Homes from Home appeal. As a lover of cooking and baking, I can testify that the taste of butter is like no other whether it’s simply a bowl champ with a lump of butter on top or homemade scones with a dollop of butter."
