January may just feel a little bit colder for staff at Adopstar in Cullompton, after staff had grade zero cuts for CLIC Sargent, raising nearly £1,500 for children and young people with cancer.
Nine employees from online ad sales agency, Adopstar, braved the shears to raise money for their charity of the year, CLIC Sargent.
The Big Buzz event was held at their offices on Cullompton's Fore Street and the team have already raised nearly £1,500 towards their £5,000 target this year.
CLIC Sargent Area Fundraising Manager Sarah Shaw said: "What they have done is fantastic and I think doing it in January is really brave. Hats off all round."
The event was organised by Adopstars' Chloe Latty, Theresa Benson, Marcelle Standford and Sammy Sprague.
Sammy Sprague said: "CLIC Sargent is a charity close to our hearts. My colleagues who shaved their heads are all very brave.
"I personally just couldn't do it and I especially admire Sarah for getting involved as the only female, she's more brave than the rest of us."
Sarah Mason said: "As soon as they said they were doing it I was up for it. It's pretty cool actually and it feels like Velcro. It's only hair - it will grow back!"
An amazing achievement
Director Paul Benson added: "It feels amazing to do something for charity. It's great of the team to all participate, we had a few wobbles with some people not wanting to go grade zero, but we persuaded them in the end."
Those who took part in the head shave were: Director Paul Beson, Nick Mahany, Jefard Davenport, Jake Bearne, Ben Field, Joe Heaton, Mark Warren and the only woman, Sarah Mason.
