IT consultancy and services company, Sopra Group, has donated a fantastic £925 to CLIC Sargent specifically to buy presents for families in Northern Ireland struggling with the cost of Christmas due to their child’s cancer treatment.
Currently families in Northern Ireland dealing with childhood cancer spend an additional £360 per month on costs including travel, fuel, meals and accommodation. These additional expenses mean that many families' budgets just can't stretch to the high costs associated with Christmas.
The money donated by Sopra meant that CLIC Sargent could help these families by providing presents for those who needed them.
Ally Clark and Marguerite Clarke from the company presented the money to CLIC Sargent Services Team Leader, Cecilia Milburn.
Cecilia said: "We are always amazed at the generosity of CLIC Sargent supporters who ensure we can provide our services year round but then, like the Sopra Group, make an unexpected donation so Christmas can be a little easier for families across Northern Ireland."
