St Andrews Healthcare in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire has raised an amazing £4,000, after a year of fundraising for children and young people with cancer.
Working in partnership
Patients and staff members at St Andrews Healthcare have been busy raising money for CLIC Sargent during the last year, by taking part in many different events and activities.
Regular dress down days were held by staff, as well as raffles, cake sales, coffee mornings and donning wigs for CLIC Sargent's Wig Wednesday campaign.
Patients got involved too by taking part in a milkshake day, where they donated spare change for some very interesting and tasty milkshake combinations.
Staff also took on some hard challenges including the Three Peaks Challenge, which raised over £1,000. The toughest challenge of all though, had to be the 'Tour de St Andrews' where staff members cycled hundreds of miles to visit each of the St Andrews sites in Nottinghamshire, Northampton, Essex and Birmingham.
Maxine White, who helped organise all of the fundraising, said: "We have really enjoyed working in partnership with CLIC Sargent over the last year and we are delighted that the funds raised will benefit families in the East Midlands."
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Blaine Cooper-Jones said: "We are so grateful to everyone at St Andrews for all the hard work they have put into the partnership over the last year. The money they have raised will help us to continue delivering vital services for young cancer patients across the East Midlands."
