Eight year old Josie Snowball and her dad Ian contacted CLIC Sargent to introduce us to their very own book 'Sky and the Bell Guardians'.
Josie met an inspirational young child who had been diagnosed with cancer and soon afterwards asked dad Ian if they could support CLIC Sargent through the sale of their book, donating £1 per book sold.
The book will be launched on 7 December at Maidstone Library between 1pm and 4pm. The writing duo, along with illistrator Richard Schaller, have a feast of exciting activities organised for the day including readings from the book and a free workshop for children.
Sally Lindsay, best known for playing Shelley Unwin in Coronation Street and more recently appearing behind the Loose Women desk, has endorsed the book. Sally described the book as: "A wonderful and original story that has been beautifully illustrated."
Hannah, CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager for Kent said: "I'm delighted to be able to support Ian and Josie through their book launch and am so thankful to them for choosing to support CLIC Sargent through the book's royalities. Best of luck for the launch on the 7 December and we look forward to the book flying off the shelves this Christmas."
