CLIC Sargent was delighted to accept a cheque for £1,509 from Ocean Torbay BMW following the company's very successful golf day in July.
After supporting the charity for several years, the company's golf day this year raised a magnificent £1,509 from donations and a raffle.
Gareth Watton, from Ocean BMW, said: “Once again it has been a pleasure to be associated with CLIC Sargent and to help with the amazing work they do.
"CLIC Sargent is a charity very close to our hearts and to know that our golf day will make a difference to families in the area is fantastic.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Sarah Shaw said: “We are delighted to receive this donation from Ocean Torbay BMW and I would like to thank them for their ongoing support.”
Make a difference
Sarah continued: “One of the services we provide are our Homes from Home, which provide free self catering accommodation near to specialist children’s cancer centres, which are often many miles from a family’s own home.
"Very often Devon families need treatment in Bristol and staying in our one of our Bristol Homes from Home ensures the family can be close to their child during treatment and if they are well enough, the child or young person can stay there too.
"The £1,509.47 donated could pay for a family to stay at one of our Bristol Homes for over six weeks, providing this essential service at a time when they need it most. Thank you.”
