Elsie Ball, who lives in Wales and is a long standing supporter of CLIC Sargent, recently held a wonderful evening of fundraising and music in Cardiff.
For over seven years Elsie has taken part in fundraising event Practice-a-thon, CLIC Sargent’s musical campaign that encourages people to practice, play and perform for children and young people with cancer.
Those in attendance were treated to a fantastic raffle with prizes donated from local companies as well as an appearance from the mayor himself. With money still coming in Elsie believes the event has raised over £500.
On the evening there were performances from the Cardiff Live Music Club (CLMC) Keyboard orchestra alongside Heather Jones and Hank Hillman singing and playing guitar. The cherry on the cake of the evening was a cornet performance from local schoolgirl Eiry Allender.
A credit to her community
Elsie, who plays in the Cardiff Live Music Band, was acting compere for the evening and organised the entire evening herself. Over the years she has raised well over £3,000 for CLIC Sargent through Practice-a-thon.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Worrall said: “Elsie is really a credit to her community and has raised so much money for CLIC Sargent through Practice-a-thon."
