The charity dinner was organised by Olwen Morgan, 71, a friend of the restaurant owners. She was supported by the fantastic staff and volunteers at the Weymouth CLIC Sargent shop, who promoted the event to customers and friends to help make the night a success.
Olwen said: “I have known Jason and Tom for 12 years. They have always been keen to reach out to the local community, and they had this great idea to do it through raising money for local charities which are popular with local people. What better way to do it than through scrumptious healthy Chinese food.
“We chose to support CLIC Sargent due to the many people who have been supported in the local area and throughout Dorset, and wanted to raise money while promoting healthy Chinese food.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Joy Morley said: “We want to say a big thank you to the owners for putting on such a superb fundraiser, and to Olwen for organising the event.
“I would also like to thank the staff and volunteers at the CLIC Sargent shop for bringing such a fun event to the local community. There may be another evening on the cards for next year for those that couldn’t make this event, so keep your ear to the ground.”
