Patrice, from Brighton, wanted to help make a difference for children and young people with cancer by taking CLIC Sargent's Big Buzz challenge.
In his bid to raise £1,000, brave Patrice said goodbye to his fine head of hair on 13 July at Brighton Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College.
Patrice said: "A while ago a family member was diagnosed with cancer and the effect it had on everyone was devastating.
"It seems that nearly everybody knows someone with this disease, and in my own small way, I'd like to make a difference."
He added: "I would like to help young people with cancer because being a teenager is hard enough without having a disease with treatment that makes you feel sick all the time, and stops you from doing the things that most teenagers take for granted.
"Everybody that knows me knows my hair is a bit of an obsession, so I decided to organise a Big Buzz event at my college."
