Two teenage friends from Ammanford have taken part in The Big Buzz event and become life shavers in support of CLIC Sargent.

Olivia Wright, 17, and friend Katie Everton-Howells, 18, made the brave and bold decision to shave their heads to raise money for children and young people with cancer.

The two girls, who met whilst studying, were inspired to organise their own Big Buzz event by family members who have battled cancer.

Olivia said: "I was a bit nervous, but once she started shaving I was looking forward to it. My mother was more nervous than me, but all my family seem to like it and have said it suits me.

"We both feel strongly towards helping cancer charities and we decided that CLIC Sargent was the best one for us."

The pair has already raised nearly £250 and are now determined to hit their fundraising target of £400.
