Climbing Kilimanjaro in memory of Archie

Tim Hewitt and his nephew Alex are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, in memory of their best friends’ son, Archie, who died of cancer.

The pair will be making the 5,895 metre climb to the mountain’s summit, to help raise funds for CLIC Sargent, after the charity provided support for Archie and his family.

Archie’s mum, Pippa says: “CLIC Sargent provided fantastic support at times when we just didn't know what to do next. CLIC Sargent stayed in touch, they're still there, like guardian angels for families everywhere.”

Tim and Alex will be writing a blog about their experience during their climb to keep friends, family and supporters up to date with their progress.
