Dan Silver, from Plymouth, who had cancer himself, has dedicated the last year to organising several events in Plymouth to say 'Pants to Cancer', helping to raise thousands for charity including CLIC Sargent.
Dan donates over £1,000 to CLIC Sargent
The events included a 'Say Pants to Cancer' men’s fun run at Saltram Park and a Masquerade Ball at the New Continental Hotel, along with various other activities.
Dan said: “CLIC Sargent plays a massive part in patient care throughout the south west and they support not only the patients but also the families too.
As a cancer survivor myself it is my great pleasure to support this great cause in the future
As one of the three charities Dan is supporting, CLIC Sargent received a donation of £1042.93 to help support children and young people with cancer, and their families.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Stephanie Cherington-Rimmell, said: “Dan is one in a million. He had put so much hard work and effort into raising funds for all three charities and we are all so grateful.
"With the calendar already full in 2015, I hope that everyone really gets behind Dan and joins in the events to help say Pants to Cancer!
“Thank you Dan for supporting children and young people with cancer in Plymouth and across the UK.”
