Hospitals' Choirs Christmas Celebrations raise over £22,00

Over £22,000 raised

The choirs, based in the Midlands, Cambridge, Manchester and surrounding districts and Newcastle upon Tyne, are made up of voluntary medical professionals as well as their friends and family.

Some of the choirs were formed well over 30 years ago and every Christmas since have been performing in aid of children and young people with cancer.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Nichola Doran said:

"The support that the choirs from across the Midlands and the north have shown over the years is phenomenal!"

"We are very grateful to them all, especially the committees who work tirelessly to arrange these special occasions."

Performances were held at Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, Newcastle City Hall, Birmingham Town Hall and the chapel at St. John's College Cambridge.

Collectively they are set to raise an incredible £22,000 to fund our core work, providing practical and emotional support to children and young people with cancer and their families.

Thank you!

We are thankful to all the volunteers, from school children, Brownies and their parents, to doctors, nurses, and professional musicians who always help to make these concerts such a great success.

Thank you also to all the companies who very kindly sponsor the concerts.
