A Stoke-on-Trent man is turning heads with his new look after dying his hair pink for CLIC Sargent.
Jeff Sheldon-Gwinneth braved the barber's chair as part of the charity’s Big Buzz campaign. The Big Buzz encourages people to be creative with their hair to support children and young people with cancer, many of whom lose their hair during treatment.
The sponsored hair dye was held in One Salon, Stoke-on-Trent, on 14 December where Jeff was watched and encouraged by friends and family.
Jeff said: "I wanted to do something that would stand out and raise awareness for such a great cause and it was all worth it as I’ve raised about £250 for CLIC Sargent."
Anna Finnegan, Fundraising Manager for CLIC Sargent, said: "I’d like to say a huge thank you to Jeff for becoming a 'life-shaver' for CLIC Sargent. I think the finished result looks amazing!
"Every day ten children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Many will lose their hair during treatment and our Big Buzz campaign gives you the chance to show support for them by shaving your head and raising money for CLIC Sargent.
"At the moment we can only help two out of three children and young people diagnosed with cancer. We want to reach as many as possible and with your support we can do this."
