Staff from 150 stores across the Noth East, Yorkshire and North West chose to take part in Wig Wednesday after one of their managers suggested the event as his son had been supported by CLIC Sargent.
"It's been my goal from day one to help raise as much money for the charity as possible as a thank you for what it has given, not only to me and my son, but the numerous other families who have had to deal with the same devastating news.
Wig Wednesday is a great way to raise money and have a good time at the same time - we all really enjoyed it.
"I’m overwhelmed by how much the company has raised and touched by people’s support.”
Staff had set themselves a target of raising £5,000 but so far have raised an amazing £10,350, and expect to get to over £11,000 once all the money is in.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Dee Tyler said: “I couldn’t quite believe it when Richie rang to tell me how much they had raised.
"They have completely smashed their target. I just want to say well done and thank you to them and all their customers who really got behind the event."
