Following a vote by the school council, Balloch Primary School in Inverness has decided to support CLIC Sargent's work with children and young people with cancer for the academic year.
The school has already been fundraising in December by carol singing, donating the proceeds of their nursery nativity play and with two members of staff taking part in the Nairn New Year's Day Dip.
So far over £520 has been raised and excitement is building for their big show in April.
CLIC Sargent Area Fundraising Manager Peter Logie said: "Balloch have been fielding wonderful choirs to take part in our annual carol singing initiative in the shopping centre for many years and I was delighted to receive a phone call before Christmas announcing that they had picked the charity to support for the year.
"The nativity play was lovely with some fantastic costumes and great performances from the wee ones. Two of the teaching staff then turned up for a brave dip in our great Nairn New Year's Day Dip.
"The photo was taken after I gave a presentation at a recent school assembly to officially kick off the relationship."
