Ben read stories with the young patients, before visiting those too unwell to leave their beds and presenting them with Snowy the CLIC Sargent bear, which was donated by Signet, the owner of jewellers H. Samuel and Ernest Jones.

The plush teddy is being sold to raise money for the charity’s work supporting young cancer patients and their families.

One child Ben was especially pleased to see was five-year-old Victoria Calland, who he met in 2016 as she rang the bell to mark the end of her treatment for rare cancer embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma.

Ben said: “It was great to visit the hospital again and spend some time with the staff, the kids and their families."

“The work that CLIC Sargent do for children and their families is invaluable."

"Whether it’s your money or your time, please do whatever you can to support this wonderful charity this Christmas.”

Alice Ward, Account Executive at CLIC Sargent, said: “We were delighted to have Ben visit the hospital and spend some time with the children. For so many families this is a really tough time of the year and Ben was able to create such a fun atmosphere and the children really enjoyed it.”

Snowy the CLIC Sargent bear is available at H. Samuel and Ernest Jones stores nationwide.
