Tanya Harrison, a rugby fan from Barry, shaved off her hair to raise funds for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Tanya attended the Melksham Rugby Club in Wiltshire to hold her Big Buzz event in support of her great nephew Aston, who is five years old and currently being treated for leukaemia.
Tanya said: “Thanks to all for your amazing, generous support.”
The brave head shave raised over £570 for CLIC Sargent, with Melksham Rugby Club raising £162 towards the total, taking it over Tanya’s £500 target.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Worrall said: “This is such a fantastic way of supporting children and young people just like Aston.
“The Big Buzz event is a bold fundraiser and one which deserves some great appreciation – well done Tanya for showing such solidarity to young cancer patients.”
