'I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' winner and Eastenders actress, Charlie Brooks launched this year’s event which ran from Mother’s day on Sunday 10 March until Sunday 17 March.
Thousands of mums, nursery schools, child-minders and companies across the UK took part, getting together to raise funds for children and young people with cancer.
It is hoped that funds from all of the Great Mum Get Together events across the UK will raise in excess of £100,000 for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
The Great Mums Get Together Twitter Party
The Great Mums Get Together team also pioneered some brand new social media activity for CLIC Sargent, including hosting a Twitter Party.
The Twitter party was an invitation to Twitter users to talk about what makes a great mum whilst raising awareness of the Great Mums Get Together by using the hashtag #GreatMums.
The event was so popular that it saw #GreatMums trending at the number one spot on Twitter in the UK!
We also made maximum use of other free social media opportunities like Facebook, online videos and other popular sites and we’ve managed to reach over 1.4 million people.
This years Great Mums Get Together was kindly supported by the following businesses:
- Pink Lining
- Baby Swap or Shop
