Suzie has had first-hand experience of the charity’s services years ago before CLIC merged with Malcom Sargent to form CLIC Sargent.
As a child Suzie was diagnosed with cancer, with CLIC’s support, her parents were able to stay in Bristol near to where Suzie was receiving treatment.
Years later, Suzie decided to volunteer her time to spread the news of CLIC Sargent’s work and the support the charity provides for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Suzie is focussed on raising awareness in local schools and businesses and after a successful Wig Wednesday event has persuaded her company to choose CLIC Sargent as Charity of the Year.
Suzie’s passion is infectious and is evident when you see how many people want to now get involved with ideas she is having for the community.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manger Farah Batchelor said: “I am so lucky to have met Suzie; she is a huge support to me and CLIC Sargent.
“She has spent so much effort and time making sure people know who we are and what we do, this is so valuable for us in communities where we have been relatively unheard of.
“I can’t thank Suzie enough for signing up to be a CLIC Sargent representative.”
