Matt Dyer took on the challenge of running the Bath Half Marathon to give back to CLIC Sargent, which supported him during his treatment for a brain tumour. He raised more than £3,000 for the charity.
Matt was diagnosed with a brain tumour after suffering from seizures in 2012, and after an operation he recovered well. However, in 2014 the tumour returned and Matt required more support.
Matt said: “I could not have gone through this without the support and help that was provided by CLIC Sargent.
"They were there every step of the way, not only for me, but my partner and family as well! I would like to thank everyone at CLIC Sargent for their support over the past few years, and feel determined to give back by raising money for this fantastic charity.
“I used to run a bit but I had never done this distance before. It was a huge challenge for me."
Matt completed the race in just over two hours and smashed his fundraising target, raising an amazing £3,190.
