Saraya, 14, from Portsmouth, had her head shaved to raise money in memory of her brother Clayton and friends, Louie and Leon.
Saraya’s brother, Clayton, passed away aged four after being diagnosed with cancer aged two. The Big Buzz took place at The Pelham Arms in Portsmouth, two days after Clayton's third 'angelversary'.
In memory of Clayton
Saraya said: “Every day, people are losing their hair to cancer. My brother passed away almost three years ago. We met many amazing people along the way including some amazing people who also lost their fight to cancer so I am doing this in memory of my brother Clayton and friends Louie and Leon and all the other angels we met along the way.
"I did the Big Buzz to show I'm not afraid and I don't care what people think anymore. I am showing that anyone can do it if they just believe.”
Saraya’s mum Lorraine said: "I am really proud of Saraya, as I think she is incredibly brave and I think it’s wonderful of her to raise funds for CLIC Sargent in memory of Clayton. As well as my amazing family and friends, CLIC Sargent really helped me whilst Clayton was undergoing cancer treatment.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Liz Blunt said: “It was a pleasure to meet Saraya, her sister Fallon, Mum Lorraine and Granny Heather and to find out more about Clayton.
"Saraya has raised almost £1,400 with her Big Buzz and her granny has been a fantastic regular fundraiser over the last three years. We really appreciate their kindness to think of others when they have sadly lost Clayton.”
