Divis mountain walk raises thousands for CLIC Sargent

The 8k sponsored walk up Divis mountain was one of a number of fundraising events organised by Sean Moore and Jim Killyleagh from Belfast's Grosvenor Pigeon Club and The Red Devil Bar.

Sean, who lives close to Paul's House in Belfast, wanted to show that the local community are very much in support of CLIC Sargent and the Home from Home

On Sunday 31 May 2015, 120 people assembled at Paul's House to take part in the walk.

They enjoyed the stunning views of Belfast and the surrounding area from the great heights of the Divis mountain.

Geraldine, housekeeper at Paul’s House, who took part in the walk, said it was great to see so many local people supporting CLIC Sargent.

Family fun day

After the walk a family fun day was held in the Grosvenor Pigeon Club where more fundraising took place.

A staggering £9,850 was raised from the various fundraising activities.

Sean said: "I'm delighted to be able to help children and young people with cancer and will continue to support CLIC Sargent."

A massive thanks to Sean and Jim and staff at both the Pigeon Club and the Red Devil for their support.
