At 5pm on Saturday 28 June, five members of the Garrington Property Finders cycling team rode up the Champs-Elysees to the base of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, in support of children and young people with cancer, and their families.
The Garrington Team travelled an average of 170km per day for three consecutive days, completing the Hot Chillee London to Paris cycling challenge – the equivalent of three stages of the Tour-de-France, with a fundraising target of £5,000.
Jonathan Hopper, Group Managing Director said: The Garrington team are really looking forward to the challenge especially as we will be fundraising for such a fantastic cause, CLIC Sargent.
The three day endurance ride was tough, with challenging weather conditions on day two and three. However, the team powered through, breaking their target of £5,000, and joining 400 other cyclists in celebrating making the finish line.
Karen Roberts, CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager said: “Congratulations to the Garrington Team for completing the Hot Chillee London to Paris cycle and for breaking through their target of £5,000 with more sponsorship to come."
"£5,000 means a lot to CLIC Sargent and could pay for a CLIC Sargent Nurse for a month as well as a CLIC Sargent Social Worker for a week.”
The Garrington Team would like to say a big thank you to everyone for the heartening messages and kind words of support throughout and following the challenge.
