An event at The Charles Bradlaugh, Northamptonshire, has raised an amazing £711 in support of local toddler Nancy.
In 2015, Nancy was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma at six months old. After nine cycles of chemotherapy, 28 days of proton beam radiation therapy and 12 months of maintenance chemotherapy, Nancy is now in remission.
In recognition of the support that Nancy and her family received during her treatment, a family friend organised the fundraiser to give something back to CLIC Sargent.
The ‘For Tomorrow’ night saw performances from a variety of DJs and local bands including The Lucky Shivers, Century City and The Barratts, each keeping the dancefloor full and spirits high.
The generosity of those attending the event raised a grand total of £711 to help support young lives vs cancer.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Lydia Buckmaster said: “‘For Tomorrow’ has raised a fantastic amount of money, its great how this community has come together to fundraise and raise awareness of CLIC Sargent whilst holding such a great event.”
Nancy’s mum, Jodie said: “CLIC Sargent has been there for us in some of our darkest times, providing help in many different ways from a sympathetic ear to practical advice and financial support.
“Personally I was so pleased and quite overwhelmed with the turn out, and the generosity of the people that attended.
“Thank you to everyone who helped to organise the event, to the excellent bands who performed and to everyone who came along to help raise some money for this wonderful charity.”
