Sequence, CLIC Sargent’s regional corporate partner of 14 years, has continued its support in 2015, raising a huge sum to support children and young people with cancer.
Whether individuals have undertaken a challenge, such as a skydive, or branches have organised an event, such as a coffee morning, there has always been a common goal - to raise awareness and funds to support children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Highlights include a gala at William H Brown in Horsforth; a golf day at Fox & Sons in Hove; and a 125k static bike ride by Martin Paston at William H Brown in Oadby.
This is all in conjunction with in-branch collection tins, one-off donations from clients, and a huge £2,470 being raised at the partners’ dinner in September.
Several events were organised to coincide with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month like the bake sale at Jones & Chapman in Greasby. Branches really come together as teams to raise this money.
Steve Bowles and his team at William H Brown in Wisbech also took part in Insane Terrain, and managed to surpass their £1,000 target. Steve was a fantastic team leader rallying, motivating and supporting his team mates from the outset.
A worthwhile cause
Isabelle Thompson, PR executive at Sequence, said: “We’re thrilled to have raised this impressive amount for CLIC Sargent and everyone at Sequence has thoroughly enjoyed fundraising over the course of 2015.
“CLIC Sargent is such a worthwhile cause which does some amazing work for children and young people with cancer and their families and our long-standing relationship with the charity is really valuable to us.
“Of course, none of this would be possible without the excellent work and encouragement from CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Catherine Cadman so we’d like to thank her for everything she does to help us in our fundraising efforts. We’re looking forward to working together again next year!”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Catherine Cadman said: “It’s such a huge amount that’s been raised this year, and, in fact, over the duration of the partnership, by the Sequence team- thank you very much to each and every one of you, we are so grateful for your continued support.
“It has been such a pleasure working with all the employees this year- to see their creativity, enthusiasm and generosity is amazing! I would also like to say a huge thank you to Isabelle- she is an absolute star in leading this partnership! I am really looking forward to seeing what 2016 brings!”
