South Wales music concert raises £570

70 local residents joined together for a charity musical concert held in Pontllanfraith, raising over £570 for children and young people with cancer, and their families.

The fundraiser took place at Islwyn Indoor Bowls Club, and welcomed entertainment from the Cardiff Live Music Club's Keyboard Orchestra, singer/guitarist Heather Jones,Tony Hill on the banjo and harpist Eluned Hollyman, who won the Caerphilly Young Musician of the Year 2014. The concert also went on to host a musical quiz and raffle too.

Concert organiser, Elsie May Ball, is now in her seventh year of supporting CLIC Sargent by organising musical fundraisers. To date, Elsie has raised over £3,000 for CLIC Sargent!

Elsie said: “We had another really great evening and I am pleased that everything went well on the night. I am also thrilled to have raised so much money for CLIC Sargent to date and hope that this money will help a family who needs it.”

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Worall, said: “A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support this concert! The money Elsie has raised over the years has been fantastic - thank you Elsie for your committed support.”
