Sainsbury's supermarket in Edenthorpe, Doncaster has raised £4,195 throughout 12 months of fundraising for CLIC Sargent.
The charity was chosen after customers were given the opportunity to vote in-store and online for their favourite charity.
Store colleagues then decided CLIC Sargent was the best charity for them to work with to make a real difference.
Over the last 12 months they’ve embarked on a number of fundraising initiatives as well as contributing sack loads of toys to Sheffield Children’s Hospital at Christmas.
Store Manager Jon Cox said: “We’ve had a great response from our customers and colleagues to supporting CLIC Sargent over the last 12 months and we’re delighted to have raised so much money for the charity as it’s really touched the hearts of many of our colleagues.
"To play our part in helping the charity ensure that children and young people can live their lives to the full as much as possible means a great deal to everyone.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Stephen Jackett said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Sainsbury’s Edenthorpe’s colleagues and customers have made this wonderful contribution.
"We really appreciate the hard work and generosity that has gone into raising the pounds – every penny raised will help provide vital support for children and young people with cancer, and their families.”
