We are so lucky to have so many inspirational people that go the extra mile by taking on a challenge to raise money for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Their hard work and dedication to the cause is outstanding. Here is an amazing story from the ‘Orange Jacket Biklers’, the CLIC Sargent star challengers of the month.
On Sunday 10 August the ‘Orange Jacket Biklers’ completed the Prudential RideLondon – Surrey 100 and have raised over £10,600 to celebrate the life of family member Mark who died of neck and throat cancer in 2009.
Mark was a great lover of the outdoors and cycling was one of Mark’s passions which inspired the team of 13 to take on the 100 mile challenge through London and the Surrey countryside. The team was made up of mums, dads, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and close friends.
Team member Tom said:
We all knew and loved the character that was Mark Greig. This made it a very special event for all. We wanted to make him proud.
On the day, the team successfully overcame testing weather conditions with the whole team finishing together on The Mall.
If you have been inspired by the Orange Jacket Biklers, register to take part in next
year’s Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 with CLIC Sargent and help raise funds for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
