St Michael's Catholic Grammar School has raised £1,099 after choosing to support CLIC Sargent during the school year.
Nominated members of the sixth form invited CLIC Sargent in to the school to discuss the different ways that they could fundraise. They decided to organise a disco for the new year seven pupils.
The disco was held at the start of the school term and year seven pupils from a local boys school were also invited. They sold tickets, organised fun games for the pupils and raised an amazing £1,099!
St Michael’s Catholic Grammar School’s charity committee said: “Planning the year seven disco was quick and simple and all the kids had a fantastic evening."
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Nicola White said: "The charity committee at St Michael’s Catholic Grammar School did a fantastic job of organising the disco and raised such an amazing amount.
"I want to thank everyone involved for their support of our work with children and young people with cancer, and their families."
