Staff at Scottish Hydro's shop in Stornaway were really energised by Wig Wednesday and raised an electrifying £1,205 in support of children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Gayle Taylor and her colleagues at the small Scottish Hydro shop in Stornaway really embraced Wig Wednesday - not only did they go on local radio to promote the event, they also put out flyers, set up a Justgiving page, ran a raffle and of course had home bakes.
Their efforts raised a fantastic £1,205 which is the highest amount raised anywhere in the north of Scotland since the Wig Wednesday campaign was launched.
CLIC Sargent Area Fundraising Manager Peter Logie said: "I am amazed at the energy and enthusiasm of Gayle and her team. They have done incredibly well!"
Three other shops in the Highlands in Dingwall, Grantown on Spey and Portree also took part raising several hundred pounds - thank you.
