On 25 May toddlers from Plympton Montessori Nursery will be joining thousands of other Hair-os across the UK by wearing a wig for the day to support children and young people with cancer.
Tracy Darcy, Plympton Montessori Nursery deputy manager, said: “We have chosen to support CLIC Sargent's Wig Wednesday by hosting a week of fundraising which will include making hats, sponsored wig and hat wearing as well as a colouring competition and much more.
“Cancer is something that can happen to anyone regardless of the age. It is important for us to support CLIC Sargent to help raise awareness and funds for the young people going through cancer and their families, so they can continue to receive the vital support CLIC Sargent provide them.”
Making a difference
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Jordan Anderton said: “CLIC Sargent supports any young person diagnosed with childhood cancer from birth to the age of 24, so it is great to see such littles ones wanting to support other children who are unfortunately not very well.
“Hopefully, even more local schools, colleges, and businesses will be inspired by this nursery to get involved and become hair-os for CLIC Sargent.”
