For the past three years, sports equipment company Maudesport Ltd has chosen CLIC Sargent as its Charity of the Year, with staff working hard to raise over £11,000 in support of children and young people with cancer.
Fundraising efforts have included staff members Nick, Holly, Ryan and Gaynor taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge last June which involved climbing Snowdon, Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike within 24 hours in very challenging conditions, making this a huge achievement for all involved.
The specialist sports equipment company also raised funds by donating a percentage made from the sales of particular kits, directly to CLIC Sargent.
The £11,000 raised by Maudesport Ltd staff members could now pay for a family to stay for over 11 months in one of CLIC Sargent’s Homes from Home, for free whilst their child receives cancer treatment in a nearby specialist medical centre.
MD, Nick Palmer said: “Maudesport is extremely proud to continue supporting its favourite charity CLIC Sargent. It’s an absolute privilege for us to do our bit and raise as much money as we can for this unbelievably worthwhile cause.
"All our colleagues are passionate about CLIC Sargent and their fantastic team are a joy to work with. We can have fun, build a strong team rapport and boost morale whilst feeling good about making a positive difference!"
Continued support in 2014
Maudesport Ltd is set to raise even more funds for CLIC Sargent this year and on 21 May, staff members will also be getting their wigs on and taking part in the charity's Wig Wednesday event! Thank you to everyone at Maudesport Ltd for their hard work and continuous support.
