CLIC Sargent was nominated by Stacey Steehouder from the Fulwell Busy Bees, as her brother was once supported by the CLIC Sargent team at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.

Stacey and all staff members put a huge amount of effort into the fundraising activities each Busy Bees Nurseries organised, which included staff sitting in baked bean baths, quiz nights and the children taking part in pyjama days and sponsored walks.

One staff member from the Fulwell branch also joined the CLIC Sargent team for the Great North Run.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Dee Tyler said: “We are absolutely thrilled Busy Bees have made this wonderful contribution.

"We really appreciate the hard work and generosity that has gone in to raising the pounds – every penny raised will help provide vital support for children and young people with cancer, and their families.”
