Stephen Blades, the One Stop area manager for Sunderland has presented a cheque for £2,155 to CLIC Sargent.
The money was raised by staff working across the 13 One Stop stores that Stephen manages.
Staff members raffled life-sized teddy bears in support of their colleague, Richie Brians, whose three year old son Finley, was diagnosed with cancer in April 2012.
Stephen said: "We wanted to do something to help the family, but it's hard to know what to do. We decided fundraising would be the best way to show our support and decided that doing a raffle with the teddy bears signified the fact we were doing this for a children's charity."
Richie, Finley and Finley's mum Natalie also attended the cheque presentation. Natalie said she was really touched that workmates of Richie had raised so much money for CLIC Sargent. She added: "It's lovely, it's really nice. It's that people are thinking about Finley's situation."
