Seven year old Edwyn and his friends have run 85 miles to help raise over £400 for CLIC Sargent after the charity helped to support his family during his older brother's cancer treatment.
Edwyn and 15 friends ran 337 laps around their local park in support of Edwyn’s brother, Albert, who received treatment for cancer.
A course of a quarter of a mile was marked out around the outside of the field at the local park. Edwyn and his best friend managed 33 laps each and between the whole group, they managed a grand total of 337 laps, equating to 84.25miles.
Edwyn and Albert’s mum said: “We are so proud of our two boys. Young Edwyn had been hearing of other people rallying round to raise money and was desperate to give his support to his brother."
He wanted to support CLIC Sargent because they have helped our family deal with everything over the last year.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Hannah Worrall, said: “A huge well done to Edwyn and his friends for doing something so amazing with their Sunday morning – you should all be very proud of yourselves.”
