Members of the Dereham and District Ladies Circle have taken part in CLIC Sargent's Big Bucket Collection helping to raise funds to help support children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Members of the active community group were encouraged by their Chair, Mrs Allison Burrell to don their pink sweatshirts and take part in the Big Bucket Collection on Friday 26 September at Morrison’s, Dereham to support CLIC Sargent.
This year's Big Bucket Collection took place during September. Collections were held at supermarkets, shopping centres and other venues across the UK to help raise funds for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Mrs Burrell, Chair of the Dereham Ladies Circle, said: “We were really pleased to be able to raise £190.41 for such a worthwhile cause. During my time as Chair of the Ladies Circle, I intend to support children’s charities and CLIC Sargent really spoke to me."
"The Big Bucket Collection was a fantastic opportunity to show we stand by children with cancer, and their families."
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Daisy Turner said: “We’re so grateful to Allison and the other members of the Ladies Circle for choosing to support CLIC Sargent and all the families coping with cancer in Norfolk.”
“CLIC Sargent is here to provide vital practical, emotional and financial support from diagnosis onwards but right now we can only help two out of three who need our help which is why the Ladies Circle’s support is so important.”
