Staff members at DJS Research are getting ready to model some funky new hairstyles for this year's Wig Wednesday event.
Staff are preparing to take part in Wig Wednesday which takes place on 21 May, to show their support for children and young people with cancer.
Taking part in Wig Wednesday is one of many ways in which DJS Research is continuing to support the charity. As well as continued fundraising efforts, the company is supporting CLIC Sargent’s current work experience programme by offering placements to young people aged 16 – 24 who are living with or beyond cancer.
21 year old Sam Shaw, one of the young people hoping to take advantage of the opportunity, will be wearing a wig on Wig Wednesday and sharing his experiences with staff at DJS Research.
Sam said: “CLIC Sargent supported me when I was first diagnosed aged 14, and again when I relapsed during my final year at university.
"It’s great to see companies like DJS Research supporting CLIC Sargent, especially when they provide invaluable opportunities like work experience. I’m looking forward to pulling out my Marilyn Monroe Wig and meeting them!”
DJS Research Senior Marketing Executive, Elliot Simmonds said: “This is our second year supporting CLIC Sargent and it’s a charity which is very close to our hearts, as well as one which truly makes a difference to people’s lives.
We’re all very much looking forward to meeting Sam, or Marilyn, and hearing about how the little things we do can make a big difference – and they are little things that any organisation can get involved in!”
