As well as holding a garden party their members went retro! They dressed up in clothes from the year they were born, double denim, 80s wear; you name it – they wore it! The members also made cakes and biscuits and sold them to their friends and family as well as at the rehearsals.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Karen Roberts said: "Funky Voices definitely know how to put the ‘fun’ into everything they do and certainly got into the spirit of going retro!
"Many of the families in Essex have to travel to London for treatment and being able to stay in Paul’s House, the CLIC Sargent Home from Home ensures a family can be close to their child during treatment.
"It costs CLIC Sargent £230 for a family to stay in a Home from Home for a week so this amount could pay for 10 families.
"Thank you to everyone involved for raising such a tremendous amount whilst having fun with friends and family – what more could you ask?"
