Cheltenham fundraiser Ollie Smith became a ‘life shaver’ in support of his two-and-a-half-year-old neighbour Alice Barnett, who is currently receiving cancer treatment.
Ollie decided to take on CLIC Sargent's Big Buzz campaign to help children and young people with cancer.
Shaving his head and beard, Ollie invited Alice to hold the clippers and do the deed.
Ollie said: “I am so pleased to be able to support Alice by fundraising for CLIC Sargent.
"After shaving my hair and beard off, Alice went on to henna ‘ALICE’ onto the back of my head too. We had such great fun.”
This buzzing fundraiser, along with a few additional events, has raised over £500 for CLIC Sargent.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Worrall said: “It is wonderful that Ollie has been able to support young Alice and it looks like they had a great time doing it too!”
Every day 10 children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer.
Many will lose their hair during treatment and our Big Buzz campaign gives you the chance to show support for them by shaving your head and raising money for CLIC Sargent.
Sign up to The Big Buzz and help CLIC Sargent support children and young people with cancer, and their families.
