The Birmingham mother-of-one decided to support CLIC Sargent after recently becoming a new mum.
Louise said: “Cancer seems to have affected many friends and family in some way or another - and as CLIC Sargent is a children’s cancer charity the cause played very close to my heart.”
"With some help from my mum, dad, sister, mother-in-law and a couple of friends, we managed to run a cake stall, tombola, raffle and other games with prizes.
"It really was enjoyed by all! I had prizes donated from friends and colleagues, as well as product donations from supermarkets and bakeries.
"It was a great turn out and everybody was so generous, in the end we managed to increase our original total!”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Anna Finnegan said: “I think this is such a fantastic way to fundraise.
"It sounds like it was a lot of fun and who can beat a girls’ night in with cakes and cocktails!
"I would like to say a big thank you to Louise and to all her friends and family who gave so generously on the night.
"It is thanks to the generosity of people fundraising in the community that CLIC Sargent was able to support over 500 children and young people with cancer in the West Midlands last year.
"If anybody has any fundraising ideas that they would like to discuss with me, I would love to hear from them!"
