Saville Row fashion designer Ozwald Boateng took his chances on the stock market markets all in the name of charity, as he participated in City Index’s Celebrity Trader Challenge.
This sees a different celebrity each month take to the markets in order to try and make as much profit as possible for their chosen charity.
Ozwald has chosen to support CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families. They provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help people cope with cancer and get the most out of life.
Ozwald commented: “I’m extremely proud to support this amazing charity, after experiencing personally friends affected by similar circumstances I’d like to help raise as much money and awareness as I can”.
This isn’t the first time Ozwald has dabbled in the markets as he once considered becoming a trader as a young boy. His passion for tailoring however shone through and he became one of the best in the business.
Ozwald traded on Barclay’s, Reckitt Benckiser Group and Bovis Homes. He will be trading for the entirety of February with the main goal to raise as much money as possible for his chosen charity.
