The second Rob Harris Memorial Football Match drew great crowds at Portsmouth University, and has already raised over £2,400 for CLIC Sargent to honour Rob, who sadly died of testicular cancer in November 2014.
University team victory
The University team managed a victory over team Harris, who were led by Rob’s brother James and cheered on by parents Mike and Alison.
Student spectators had a fantastic evening and enjoyed a raffle and auction with amazing prizes including a signed Chelsea shirt!
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Helen Farquharson said: “It’s fantastic that the UPFC are remembering Rob, one of their much loved team mates.
"We’d like to thank Will, and everyone involved, for their hard work putting this event on and raising such a fantastic total.
"Rob was supported by the CLIC Sargent team at Southampton General Hospital and this event is one of many that Rob’s family and friends are carrying out in his memory. Their dedication will enable us to support more young people like Rob.”
