Barry children take on St David’s Day fundraiser

Children from Barry took part in Cardiff’s St David’s Day Run and raised £94 for children and young people with cancer.

Inspired by their five year old cousin Sara Osman, cousins Cayden and Lloyd Edwards, both aged six, decided to take part in their first ever charity run for CLIC Sargent.

Cayden’s mother Nicola Edwards said: “I’m so proud of the three of them choosing to run for such a worthwhile charity, they were adorable in their CLIC Sargent t-shirts.”

The three cousins got their CLIC Sargent t-shirts on, and left Barry to run 1K around their capital city.

Cayden and Sara raised £57 together, with an additional £37 raised by Lloyd, for a very impressive total of £94.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Worrall said: “It's amazing that Cayden, Lloyd and Sara have done something so selfless, and it just goes to show that you can make a real difference whatever your age. I can't wait to hear what they get up to next!”
