Staff from West Midlands branch of the civil engineering firm, Mouchel, have spent the last 12 months raising funds for CLIC Sargent.
Every year, the 70 strong team vote for a charity they wish to support over 12 months and last April voted to support CLIC Sargent, the UK's leading cancer charity for children and young people.
Annie Kennedy, Project Assistant and Charity Champion at Mouchel said: “CLIC Sargent was suggested as our annual charity last year and all of the staff here at Mouchel, Sutton Coldfield, seemed keen to raise money for this really worthwhile cause.
"We are so pleased with the amount of money we have managed to raise over the past 12 months and we think CLIC do such an amazing job so if this money helps just even one person’s battle with cancer, just that little bit easier, then this is a great achievement for the staff here.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Anna Finnegan said: “Every day in the UK, 10 families hear the shocking news that their child has cancer. CLIC Sargent is there from the moment of diagnosis, through treatment, life after treatment or in some cases, bereavement.
"It is thanks to the generous staff at companies like Mouchel that we are stepping closer to our vision of a world where all children and young people with cancer can live life to the full."
