The challenge was organised by Knobblies Cycle Shop in Exmouth. The shop’s owner and one of the route guides for the day, Chris Warburton said: "Everyone who toughed it out discovered some local trails they had never ridden before. We chose a particularly difficult route with some really challenging hill climbs, totalling some 4,400ft of ascent in all.”

Food and drink stops were set up by volunteer Erica Lincoln at various points on route, helping to keep everyone energised. Other than a few punctures, the group managed the whole route without any major incidents.

After an epic seven hours on the go, the 30 cyclists completed the 56k route.
