Chart Hills Golf Club smashes £25,000 target

In April, to mark the start of their drive in, Chart Hills Golf Club captains Lucy and Phil Bramall had a goal. They wanted to raise £25,000 for CLIC Sargent in memory of their daughter’s best friend and neighbour Max Smith who died in December 2012 aged 17.

The golf club hosted three large scale events with the third and final big fundraiser raising a very impressive £15,000.

In total, the golf club and it’s members helped to raise an incredible £37,000 in just six months, far exceeding their initial goal.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Auer says: “We are absolutely thrilled that Philip and Lucy have made this wonderful contribution.

"We really appreciate the hard work and generosity that has gone in to raising the pounds - every penny raised will help provide vital support for children and young people with cancer, and their families.”
