The second Golf Day organised by Clive and Sandra Elliott in memory of their daughter Ami-Louise raised over £1,200 for CLIC Sargent.
The event took place at Hainault Golf Club and involved over 35 players. Tim Lynch secured the prestigious first place on the score board.
After such a brilliant amount raised last year - over £3,400 - Clive wasn’t sure what to expect this year, and set a target of £500. However, a fantastic £900 plus was raised on the day itself, as well as £300 through fundraising activities in his office the day before.
Everyone enjoyed themselves and wouldn't let the wind and cold temperatures deter them. And, of course, it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Ami’s life.
Clive said: "I’d like to say a big thank you to co-organisers, Chris Rising and Josef Pike, who made this year’s memorial day possible. People have been so generous and we can't think of a better charity to donate to than CLIC Sargent.
"We hope that the money will help with the great work that they do for the young adults suffering with a cancer diagnosis, as well as the parents too.’
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Catherine Cadman said: "What a superb amount raised again! On behalf of CLIC Sargent I would like to thank Clive, Sandra, the organisers and everyone involved. It really is such a lovely way to remember Ami-Louise. Thank you."
