CLIC Sargent’s annual event has become increasingly popular, and you can be one of the hundreds of walkers, runners, dog-walkers and pram-walkers raising money for children and young people with cancer.
The 10k route starting at the Tea Gardens in Tiverton will see you meander along with stunning scenery until you get to the Merriemeade pub in Sampford Peverell.
For the children in us all, a party is then being held at the Merriemeade from 11am, packed full of children’s entertainment and games, bouncy castles, live bands, the CLIC Sargent cake bake and a well deserved BBQ!
Supporting CLIC Sargent
The event last year raised over £15,000 for CLIC Sargent, and with even more running places this year, we are hoping to raise even more so that children and young people experiencing a cancer diagnosis can live their lives to the full.
Olly Butt, who has previously been supported by CLIC Sargent, said: "CLIC Sargent helped us a lot. They were very supporting and kind and caring when I was ill. I was very lucky to have great CLIC Nurses look after me in Exeter, we became good friends!"
Kylie Butt, Olly's mum and member of the organisation committee, said: "Olly's words say it all. Also, being able to stay close to Bristol Hospital in CLIC House one of the Homes from Home, made a terrible time so much easier.
"The separation from his brother, Alex, was very hard and so him being able to come and stay in a nice environment and be close to us all was just what we all needed. A truly great charity that is and always will remain very close to our hearts."
