Nailsea Lions Club raised £3,000 this Christmas for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Working together to raise awareness and valuable funds for CLIC Sargent in the Nailsea and Backwell area, the Lions carol float toured the area in the evenings and was in the town centre at weekends.
Lion President Wendy Hasler thanks the public for their generous support in making this donation possible, and the members of the Lions club for turning out in all weathers to make the collections.
Lions Clubs International work to help others and are at the heart of the local community, as demonstrated here by The Nailsea club, which worked tirelessly through the winter months to support children and young people with cancer.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Worrall said: “We are incredibly grateful to the Nailsea Lions Club who have done tremendous work to raise £3,000 for CLIC Sargent.
“Each and every member contributed to raise this phenomenal total, which is a real testament to their club’s generous nature.”
